Yoruba captions, tone marks and all
Yoruba is a tonal language, and a word means something else without its marks. IloClip transcribes Yoruba videos word by word and keeps the tone marks the speech gives, so “ẹ káàbọ̀” reads as it should.
What you get
- Word-by-word Yoruba captions with tone marks and under-dots (ẹ, ọ, ṣ)
- Tone marks removed from every caption in one press, and put back just as easily
- Yoruba mixed with English or Pidgin, kept as said
- English captions translated from Yoruba for viewers outside the language
With or without tone marks
Some audiences read Yoruba with full tone marks, others without. Keep them, or remove them from the whole clip in one press; the under-dots on ẹ, ọ and ṣ stay either way, because they change the letter.
Yoruba captions are in Beta: they work, and we are still measuring their accuracy on real recordings. Read your captions before you post; fixing a word takes a click.

Questions about Yoruba captions
Does IloClip support Yoruba?
Yes. Choose Yoruba when you start processing. IloClip transcribes your video in Yoruba and captions each clip word by word. Yoruba is in Beta while we measure accuracy, so read the captions before you post.
Are tone marks kept in Yoruba captions?
Tone marks are kept where the speech recognition writes them. You can remove all tone marks from a clip in one press, or fix any single word in the caption editor.
Can I translate Yoruba videos into English captions?
Yes. Choose English captions and IloClip translates the Yoruba sentence by sentence, timed to the speech, keeping the original for reference.
